Tours for Visitors

Campus Tours

One-hundred-minute general campus walking tours for visitors are offered at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and at 12 p.m. Saturday and Sunday year 'round. Tours are lead by student tour guides. Reservations are recommended. Tours leave from the Union South , 1308 West Dayton Street, Madison WI 53715. [Please note: Tours are not offered on Saturdays of home football games or on state holidays.]

Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery Tours

Effective Summer 2013, guided tours will be offered on the first Saturday of each month, starting at 11:00 a.m.  The guided tour lasts approximately 30-40 minutes and covers the entirefirst floor of the Town Center and the Embedded Teaching Lab on thesecond floor. No reservation is required, and all tours meet at theWelcome Desk on the first floor of the Town Center.

Customized Tours

You can book customized tours online by submitting a request. You will see the tab for: Submit Visit Request on the right hand side in blue on the website: an effort to provide a quality experience, we require that visit requests are made at least three weeks in advance of your desired date. Please note that many venues and activities fill quickly during peak visit months (April, May, June, and October). If you are planning a visit that will take place during one of these months, we highly encourage you to contact us at least six weeks in advance of your desired date.
