Accessing 1098-T Tax Forms
This document details how UW-Madison students can obtain their 1098-T tax form online.
2020–2025 1098-T Forms
Your 1098-T will be available in your MyUW Student Center.
- Log in to your MyUW Student Center financial account.
- Navigate to the View 1098-T section.
- Under Tax Year, select the tax year hyperlink (for example, 2025) to open, view, download, or print your 1098-T tax form.
If the Tax Year is not a hyperlink, you have not yet agreed to receive your 1098-T electronically. To access your form online, you must first grant consent.
To grant consent and access your tax form:
- Log in to your MyUW Student Center financial account.
- Navigate to the View 1098-T section.
- Near the bottom of the page, select the Grant Consent button.
- If the Grant Consent button is missing, consent has already been granted. Your 1098-T will be available in your MyUW Student Center once it is ready. Consent does not need to be given again for future years.
- Once consent is granted, the tax year will become a hyperlink.
- Select the appropriate tax year to open, view, download, or print your 1098-T tax form.
If you do not access your 1098-T electronically, a paper form will be mailed to your mailing address by January 31.
