Change the settings on your windows install on Virtualbox
If you are requiring more processing power from your virtualbox machine, you may adjust the resources allocated from your Mac device.
If you allocate more resources from the host machine (Mac) and give to you the virtualbox machine, you may notice a performance change on your Mac. Use the virtual box as needed or reduce the resources it needs to run.
To have a ideal what your system is capable of you can check on your Mac the system information by selecting the Apple symbol in the upper right hand corner and choose "about this Mac" and click. Your system information will display.
Changing the virtual box settings-
Step 1-Power down the virtual box
The settings will not be editable when the machine is running
Step 2- Click Settings while selecting the corresponding virtual box vm
Step 3- Click System
Under the motherboard tab - adjust the memory for the device. By default, 2 gigs are allocated. You may increase that as needed or available.
Step 4- Find the Processor tab. Adjust to needed amount.
Step 5- Click Ok. Turn back on virtual box machine
