Course Guide - Using the Navigation Bar

Describe the functionality provided by the navigation bars within Course Guide.

A navigation bar will display at the top of a results page. The navigation bar will appear differently based on the sort of the results set.

Sort Options:

There are five different options for sorting - Relevance, Title, Subject, Course Number and Last Taught.

Sort Options

When sorting by Relevance, Subject or Title, the following navigation bar will appear:

Navigation by Letter

Clicking on a value in the navigation bar will take you to the beginning of the chosen letter in the results set based on your sort. If a value is black, there are no results that match that specific value.

When sorting by Course Number, the following navigation bar will appear:

Navigation by Course Number

Clicking on a value in the navigation bar will take you to the beginning of the chosen course number range in the results set. If a value is black, there are no results that match that specific value.

When sorting by Last Taught, the following navigation bar will appear:

Navigation by Last Taught

Clicking on a value in the navigation bar will take you to the beginning of the chosen last taught term range in the results set. If a value is black, there are no results that match that specific value.

Navigating Between Number of Courses on a Page to Display or Pages within the Result Set:

If you would like to display more or less than 35 courses on a page, go to the display dropdown and select 10, 100, or 200 courses per page.

If there are more pages to view in the results set, you can navigate by selecting the specific page number or "<" (previous) or ">" (next). If no previous and/or next page exist for results the "<" or ">" will not appear.
