HP LaserJet 400 colorMFP M475dn - Fax, Copy or Scan

Instructions to fax, copy or scan on HP LaserJet Pro 400 multi-function printer

Fax


1. Place document in the feeder on top of printer and press 'Fax' button on the touch screen

2. Enter fax number to which you wish to fax (e.g. 28436 or 816082628436) and touch 'Start Fax'.  To access fax number stored in phone book, touch 'Phone Book' button (Path IT can setup phone book entry upon request).

3. Select fax recipient from the Phone Book

4. Press 'Start Fax' to send the fax

Copy


1. Place document in the feeder on top of printer and press 'Copy' button on the touch screen

2. Press 'Black' button for b/w output or 'Color' for color output

Scan to USB Drive


1. Place document in the feeder on top of printer and press 'Scan' button on the touch screen

2. Plug in USB drive in port on front of printer then Press 'Scan to USB Drive'

3. Press 'Scan'

Scan to Email (email address must be setup by Pathology IT staff)


1. Place document face-up in the feeder on top of printer and press 'Scan' button on the touch screen

2. Press 'Scan to E-mail' button

3. Press 'Send an E-mail' button

4. Press 'Pathology K4 Scanner' button

5. Enter PIN (PIN available upon request from Path IT)

6. Press 'To:' button on the touch screen

7. Deselect CC: radio button and select the intended recipient

8. Verify intended recipient and press 'Next' button

9. Press 'Scan' button (paper size and resolution can be set to non-default settings by pressing 'Settings' button)

Scan to Folder (scan folder must be setup by Pathology IT staff)


1. Place document face-up in the feeder on top of printer and press 'Scan' button on the touch screen

2. Press 'Scan to Network Folder' button

3. Select folder to which you want to scan document

Select Folder

4. Enter PIN (PIN available upon request from Path IT)

5. Press 'Scan' button (paper size and resolution can be set to non-default settings by pressing 'Settings' button)
