How to use a parking validation

This document explains how to enter a UW campus parking garage and use a validation for payment upon exit. Validations may sometimes be distributed by UW Hospital and Clinics departments, or other UW campus departments.
  1. When entering the parking garage, approach the entry kiosk and press the button or wave your hand to vend a ticket.

    Press the “Help” intercom button for assistance if needed.

  2. When exiting the parking garage, scan the entry ticket QR code in the scanning area.

  3. When prompted for payment, scan the QR code located on your parking validation ticket. If your entry ticket was validated, scan the QR code located on the original entry ticket. The exit gate will raise several seconds after full payment is received. Press the “Help” intercom button for assistance if needed.
