Why UW? I chose UW Health as a PGY-1 for the progressive, innovative, and robust pharmacy practice that has had pharmacy
residents at its core since 1962. The sense of community, number of residents, and connection to the shared UW purpose of
providing remarkable healthcare makes the UW pharmacy residency unique, strong, and personally, the best in the country.
Staying on following my PGY-1 was an easy decision. The experience of a wide rotation selection combined with the opportunity
to staff independently at a Level 1 Trauma center creates the ideal environment for learning and developing one's practice.
The actions of the emergency medicine pharmacists are a staple for providing evidence-based and patient focused care. I truly
can't think of a better place to do my residency and am excited to continue to partake in everything UW Health has to offer.

Why UW? The Medication Systems and Operations Residency Program originated here, and I get to work with the
first MSO residents in the country. Originally, I had interests in administration or informatics, but with the MSO
program I gain experience in both areas. Also, I was drawn to the large residency class to grow with, support each
other, and learn from our varied career interests and backgrounds. Ultimately it is clear that UW fosters their residents
and gives them opportunities to make a significant impact within the health-system. I look forward to making a beneficial
change to add to the legacy of residents from UW.

Why UW? Ever since I completed my Abdominal Transplant APPE rotation at UW Health during my
fourth year of pharmacy school, I knew I wanted to come back for a PGY2 in Solid Organ Transplant.
The transplant pharmacist team is made up of exceptional pharmacists, always looking for ways to
progress both pharmacy and transplant practice, and the team as a whole is such an integral part of
the Transplant Department at UW. UW offers the opportunity for me to experience both abdominal and
thoracic transplant, practice in inpatient and ambulatory care settings, and partake in transplant
research. UW offered everything I ever wanted in a residency program,
and I am so incredibly excited to be returning to UW to train as a transplant pharmacist.
