Why UW? I was able to complete a rotation at AFCH as a PGY-1, and every preceptor, learner, and everyone in between showed so much enthusiasm for their work that I knew it would be a great fit as a PGY-2 program. I am a valued member of the team on rounds, and interacting with the families during transitions of care is so rewarding. The breadth of required and elective rotations was also incredibly exciting to me, as it’ll help develop my clinical skills in niches I wouldn’t otherwise get.
