Why UW? I chose UW Health because of the variety of complex and unique learning experiences at American Family Children’s Hospital (AFCH). I wanted an institution that would challenge me as a PGY2 resident and be surrounded by a team of supportive preceptors and co-residents. The pharmacists at UW have a distinctive role at every stage in patient care. This allows pharmacists to be incredibly involved with the health care team. The AFCH pharmacists exemplify enthusiasm and care for education, patient care, and mentorship. The PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residency program at AFCH will be an exceptional experience for me to become a clinical pediatric pharmacist.
