Why UW? UW Health's teaching philosophy aligns with my learning style; I learn best through immersive, practical experiences and this residency's staffing component is a great place to start developing my own style of practice. As a PGY2, I staff in the Emergency Department and get to cover both, the adult and pediatric sides. Since we are a Level I trauma center, stroke, burn, and cancer center, I also get to work with high acuity patients and am supported by a team of incredible preceptors who are great at what they do and love to teach. I picked UW for my PGY1 because of the chance to early commit to this incredible PGY2 program and would do it again!
