Overview

This document will walk you through the steps to view textbook information in both Course Search & Enroll and the Courses widget in MyUW.

Course Search & Enroll

This option will provide information regarding textbooks for all UW–Madison courses.

1. Log in to MyUW.
2. Launch the Course Search & Enroll widget.
   
   
   
   
3. Navigate to a specific course using the Course Search tab for courses you are not yet enrolled in or My Courses for courses you are enrolled in or are in your cart.
4. Select the course.
5. Click on See Sections.
   
   
   
   
6. Select the desired section.
7. In the section details, click on Textbooks & Other Materials.
   
   
   
   
8. A pop-up window will appear with the course's textbook information.
   
   
   
   

Please note: This information will only appear if your instructor(s) have entered textbook information into our system. If the "Textbooks and other materials" box is unavailable, it means your instruction has not listed textbooks in this platform. 

Courses

This option will only provide textbook information for courses you are already enrolled in.

Note: The widget will only appear for active students.

1. Log in to MyUW.
2. Navigate to the Courses tile
   
   
   
   
3. Open the Courses app.
4. Click on Course Materials List on the sidebar.
   
   
   
   
5. Expand the desired term.
6. View the textbook information for that term.

Note: In the event that textbook information has not been entered for your course(s), the page will display the following message: "We couldn't find any textbooks or course materials."
