Student Center - Voter Enrollment Verification
An overview and step-by-step guide to viewing a Voter Enrollment Verification letter through the Student Center.

The Voter Enrollment Verification letter is intended for students who:
- Need an acceptable form of proof of residence.
- Plan to use an expired Voter Identification Card at the polls.
University of Wisconsin institutions will provide voter ID-compliant student ID cards and enrollment verification to students who request them.
Students are also advised to follow instructions related to residency and absentee ballots. Check www.vote.wisc.edu for up-to-date information.

Step-by-Step: Voter Enrollment Verification in the Student Center
- Login to MyUW.
- Click on the Student Center tile, then the Academic Records tile.
- From the menu on the left, select Voter Enrollment Verification.
- The letter will open in a new tab.
Verify the information is correct. In case the address on the letter is incorrect, read below how to edit your address in the Student Center.
Note: your address does not have to be up-to-date unless:- The letter will be used as proof of residence when registering to vote.
- No address appears on the letter.
Important Notes:
- Accessing the voter enrollment verification letter via your smartphone may result in a blank page. If this is the case, please update your browser settings to allow pop-ups.
- Visit www.vote.wisc.edu for additional voting information.
- University Special and Guest students are not eligible to receive a voter enrollment verification letter.
- If you withdrew from the current term, you are not eligible to receive a voter enrollment verification letter.
- Both printed and electronic letters will be accepted at the polls.
- Students should use a voter enrollment verification letter for voting purposes only.
If you need an enrollment verification letter for purposes other than voting (ex. insurance, etc.), select Print Enrollment Verification. - If you have completed the steps below and are still unable to update your address, please contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@em.wisc.edu from your wisc email address with your correct address.
Step-by-Step: Edit Your Address
Note: your address does not have to be updated on the letter unless:
- The letter will be used as proof of residence when registering to vote.
- No address appears on the letter.
- Login to MyUW.
- Click on the Student Center tile, then the Profile tile.
- From the menu on the left, select Addresses.
- Add or edit the Mailing Address.
- To add a new address, click on the + sign.
- To edit an existing address, click on the > sign.

- Repeat the steps above to view the letter with the updated address.
If you have completed these steps and are still unable to update your address, please contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@em.wisc.edu from your wisc email address with your correct address.
