DARS/Faculty&Staff - Logon for DARS

This document outlines the steps staff take to log on to DARS once they have been granted access.

Overview

Below are the steps for logging into DARS from Advising Gateway and from a URL.

Faculty and staff can log into DARS in multiple ways, including:


Log on to DARS via Advising Gateway

Faculty, staff, and advisors who have permission to use Advising Gateway may log into DARS by following these steps:

Step 1: 

Go to MyUW at my.wisc.edu.

Step 2:

Locate and launch the Advising Gateway tile.

Step 3:

Enter Name, Email, or Campus ID to search for a student.

Step 4:

In the "Progress toward degree" tile at the bottom of the page, select "Launch DARS."

Step 5:

The Campus ID field on the page will be auto-populated with the chosen student. Click "Get plans" to proceed with the request.

Log on to DARS via DARS Web URL

Staff (faculty, staff, advisors, student workers) who do not have permissions in Advising Gateway, or prefer to access DARS directly via URL, may log into DARS by following these steps:

Log in with your NetID, if prompted.

Enter the student's Campus ID number and click "Get plans" to proceed with the request.
