Active Learning
As part of the Smart Restart plan, academic instruction for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters will consist of a mixture of both in-person and remote courses. To minimize the risk to faculty, staff, and students, the university will rely on physical distancing in campus classrooms. For students taking in-person classes, learning spaces will be redesigned to ensure safe distancing between students. These changes, however, present a challenge to traditional active learning approaches used in classrooms. The resources presented here guide ways of adjusting these activities to meet the changes in classroom spaces.
