Remote Work Agreements
Audience
- Entomology, Plant Pathology, and Forest & Wildlife faculty, students, and staff; Russell Labs Hub staff
Overview
CALS allows employees to apply for remote work arrangements. They support a hybrid workplace environment for faculty and staff, while supporting the overall goals and mission of the college and UW-Madison as whole.
Renewal
FY 2025 Remote Work Agreements run from July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025.
Beginning in 2024, the time periods for the agreements shifted to July 1 - June 30th of the following year.
Employees must review and complete a new Remote Work Agreement form each year, even if there are no new changes from the prior work agreement.
The deadline for form submission is mid-June to allow time for approvals.

Approval Process
Once you have completed and submitted your Remote Agreement form online, the system will route the application information to:
- your supervisor or manager
- the assigned CALS HR rep
Your supervisor or manager, or the assigned CALS HR rep, may send the form back to you for correction or more information.
If that happens, you will need to make the corrections or add the info, and resubmit the form, and then the approval process starts again.
