Responsible Use and Data Maintenance Statement

1. Responsible Use 

As a User of the UW-Madison, Strategic Partnerships Salesforce instance, I understand that information I receive and view regarding UW-Madison donors, contacts, and partner organizations (Accounts within the Salesforce instance) is confidential and may not be released to anyone except University of Wisconsin – Madison employees and employees of partner organizations in the course of their work. 

2. Data Maintenance

All users have a role to play in ensuring data integrity within the system. In order to ensure that this Salesforce instance at UW-Madison is able to fulfill its purpose, all users shall:

• Actively and regularly input and update data so that information relating to engagements with external/internal strategic partner organizations is timely and accurate.
• To the best of the User’s ability and knowledge:
  • Data is entered into the instance from reliable sources.
  • Duplicate records are identified, merged, and/or removed.
  • Create parent/child hierarchy relationships between organization divisions and subsidiaries.
