OneTrust - Requesting Advanced Access

Follow these steps to request additional access within OneTrust.

All UW-Madison faculty and staff have base access to OneTrust. This access allows all users to participate in risk assessments, submit request forms, and track and mitigate risks on the risk register. Advanced access is available in OneTrust for individuals in specific roles. Available roles for advanced access in OneTrust include:

  1. Division Cybersecurity Coordinator
    1. Named for the HIPAA Security Coordinators, the "Cybersecurity Coordinator" role is available for staff who are responsible for tracking and mitigating risks at the Division level. These users have access to Dashboards for tracking risks and can view all in-progress and completed Risk Assessments conducted for their Division.
  2. Cybersecurity Reviewer
    1. This view only role allows users to review assessments they aren't actively participating in. This role must be used in conjunction with a custom notification workflow in OneTrust. It provides no additional access without this customization.
  3. Cybersecurity Risk Analyst
    1. Role assigned to Risk Analysts on the Risk Management and Compliance team.
  4. Site Admin
    1. System administrator for UW-Madison's OneTrust instance.
To request one of these roles complete a OneTrust Access Request Form, found here: OneTrust Access Request

Once your request is submitted it will be routed to the Cybersecurity Risk Management and Compliance (RMC) for approval. Once approved a OneTrust administrator will provision the access as requested and complete the process with a final notification to the affected user.
If you have questions about these roles or run into an issue, please contact the OneTrust Administrators at
