Activating a ChemDraw License - How To

How to activate a new license or renew a license using ChemDraw's new process.

ChemDraw by Revvity licensing has changed with the latest release and now requires being added to the UW Madison account and using the tenant login instead of the previous activation code.

Activating a new ChemDraw License

Launch ChemDraw: Open the ChemDraw Desktop application on your computer.

Select Signals Account: If prompted by the initial licensing window, select "Signals account" and click Continue.

Enter your tenant URL: Paste or type your organization's specific Signals Domain URL and click Sign in.  UW Madison’s tenant URL is: https://uwmadisonchem.signalsresearch2.revvitycloud.com

Log in: The tenant login page will appear. Enter your Signals username and password to authenticate the software and validate your license.

If you need a Signals username and password added to the UW Madison account, please email licensing@doit.wisc.edu to request to be added to the account.

Switching licensing from the old Activation Code method

If you previously used a traditional 16-digit activation code and need to switch to Signals Authentication, follow these steps:

Open ChemDraw and navigate to Help > Activate ChemDraw (Windows) or ChemDraw > Licensing (Mac).

Click Deactivate and wait for the confirmation pop-up.

Click Cancel on the subsequent window, then select Signals account as your licensing method.

Enter the UW-Madison Signals Tenant URL and log in with your credentials.  https://uwmadisonchem.signalsresearch2.revvitycloud.com

If you need a Signals username and password added to the UW Madison account, please email licensing@doit.wisc.edu to request to be added to the account.
