WiscVPN GlobalProtect (iOS) - Uninstalling

This document explains how to completely remove the Palo Alto GlobalProtect app as well as its VPN configuration in the settings.

Uninstalling the App

Follow the standard procedure of deleting an app:

  1. Locate GlobalProtect on your home screen.
    Locate the app icon on the home screen.
  2. Press and hold on the app to activate the delete function.
    Press and hold to activate delete function.
  3. Tap the "x" on the app icon to delete it.
  4. Tap Delete in the confirmation box.
    Click the X and delete the app. Delete "GlobalProtect"? modal dialog; Deleting this app will also delete its data. Below are buttons "Cancel" and "Delete" which is highlighted in red.

Checking for and Deleting VPN Configuration

The GlobalProtect app creates a "VPN configuration" on your device. Deleting the GlobalProtect app will generally delete this profile as well.

Follow these steps to confirm that the VPN was removed.

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap General, then tap VPN.

  3. Tap the GlobalProtect configuration to open it.

    Note: If you do not see GlobalProtect, the VPN profile has already been removed.
  4. Select Delete VPN.

  5. The GlobalProtect VPN configuration will be removed from the list if correctly removed.
