Atomic Assessments - Old Data Purge - April 15th, 2026

Atomic Assessments will purge old data from our instance.
They will keep any content that has been created in the last 2 years or anything with student submissions that is less than 5 years old.
Grades in Canvas will not be affected in any way.
This purge will happen on April 15th.
What Content Will be Affected:
- Content created 2+ years ago that has never had any student submissions.
- Content whose most recent submissions happened before April 15, 2021.
What Will happen:
- Atomic Assessments will archive the identified content.
- Archived content will be retained until June 1, 2026 before permanent deletion.
- If an archived activity is launched before June 1, 2026, you'll be prompted to restore it.
- After June 1, 2026 you will not be able to view assignment content and student responses. Grades in the LMS will not be affected. You will still be able to view the summary report for the assignment and download student responses JSON.
Content is flagged for archiving if it meets one of the following criteria:
- Questions and Atomic Assessments Activities without associated Canvas assignments that were created 2+ years ago
- Activities with assignments but no attempts that were created 2+ years ago
- Activities where all student attempts are 5+ years old
