How to submit a parking permit application in the Permit Application System (PAS)
Applications for base lot, UW Accessible, Flex, park and ride, remote lot, or business alternate permit are submitted through the Parking Application System (PAS).
- Go to the Permit Application System (PAS) and log in with a valid NetID or UW Health login credentials.
- Choose which type of permit you want to apply for. You can apply for one of three permit types: base, Flex, or accessible.
- Select whether you also want to apply for a Business Alternate permit. (Please note: Justification and approval from a Unit Transportation Coordinator are required to apply for a Business Alternate permit. Most people do not apply for this permit type.)
- Search for a lot number or location in the search bar to find the permits you want to apply for (e.g. type “60" to find the lot 60 permit option). You can also scroll through the list of permit options. If needed, the list window can be made larger by clicking and dragging from its bottom right corner.
- Check the boxes of the lots you want to apply for. For base lot and Flex applications, you may list up to four lots. Applications for UW Accessible (UW Campus Accessible) can only make one selection.
- Check any special notes which may be listed for some lots (e.g., height clearance; upcoming construction impacts). Also refer to related information in the "Information and Resources" and "Construction Impacts" sections at the bottom of the page (after the "Submit" button).
- Review and rank your permit selections.
Notes:
- "1" is the most preferred choice; "4" is the least preferred.
- Click the up and down arrow icons to re-order your preferences.
- Click the X icon to remove a selection.
- If prompted, type in additional required information. This applies to UW Accessible and Business Alternate permit applications only.
- Click Submit to finalize your application.
- If the submission was successful, a confirmation page with next steps and important information will appear.
Note: If there is a mistake on the application, simply cancel the application by clicking Cancel Application(s) and re-apply.
After finalizing your application, you will receive an email at the email address on file with Transportation Services in the eBusiness parking portal confirming that your application has been received. Please note that this emailed confirmation message is not an offer for a parking permit. Applications are processed approximately every two weeks, and many applications are placed on a waiting list until space becomes available. If you receive an offer for a parking permit, you will receive a separate email from Transportation Services at least two weeks after you submit your application. Applying for parking does not necessarily guarantee that you will receive an offer for a parking permit.
