Tile titled "response rate monitor" with a link titled "view response rates".

The Response Rate Monitor allows you to monitor ongoing evaluation projects, analyze response levels and act appropriately to achieve response rate targets. It shows several modules to help you do this: Overall Response Status, Subject Progress and Performance, and Subjects.

Note: Newly submitted responses take approximately ten minutes to propagate to the Response Rate Monitor.

Overall Response Status
Pie chart of overall response rates. Each status (outlined in the next section) is assigned its own color.

The Overall Response Status Chart displays a comprehensive breakdown of the response statuses for all available evaluations:

  • Expired - Lost opportunities. These evaluations were not completed and are no longer available.

  • Not Ready - These evaluations have not yet been sent to the raters, i.e. raters haven't had the opportunity to respond.

  • Not Completed - Sent to raters but raters haven't begun responding.

  • In Progress - Raters have begun to respond, but haven't yet completed the entire evaluation.

  • Completed - These evaluations are complete and are ready for further examination and reporting.

How can I increase response rates?

Students are reminded by email every three days to complete an evaluation. To help increase response rates, instructors are encouraged to remind their students and/or even take a few minutes of class time for them to complete evaluations.

To see how students can access Blue and submit their evaluation, see Blue - Completing your Course Evaluations (Student) [UW-Madison].
