Web Hosting - Using NetID or Wisconsin Federated login
The Web Hosting service provides support for NetID Login (w/ Manifest options) and/or Federated Login (additional IAM approval required) for applications.
Authentication

Web hosting can configure authentication on the web servers for specific site locations to require NetID login.
- However, we encourage developers to obtain NetID login sessions across their applications within the domain using the default protected location of: https://sitename.wisc.edu/Shibboleth.sso/Login
Authorization
- Web Hosting doesn’t handle the authorization of NetIDs for customer websites. Developers/Customers control who has access through their web application framworks or use of Manifest groups.
