Shared Tools - GitLab - Docker Licensing Options
Many GitLab users also use Docker. Docker features paid and free subscriptions tiers, Docker Pro, Docker Team, and Docker Business subscriptions include commercial use of Docker Desktop. At this time there is no coordinated licensing effort for Docker Desktop. Please know that the Shared Tools Team does not provide support for the use of Docker.
Users interested in either the paid or free version of Docker should follow the standard software purchasing process for their division/school.
Purchasing Process for DoIT Staff Members
DoIT staff should make a standard software purchasing request. This includes your department/unit working with DoIT purchasing to review the terms and conditions. DoIT purchasing and your department/unit can confirm the appropriate purchasing options (e.g purchase order vs. pro-card). DoIT purchasing will complete a license review and your department/unit will be able to determine the payment method for funding a Docker purchase.
DoIT Shared Tools and Docker Support
At this time, the Shared Tools Team does no provide support for the use of Docker.
