No extra software is needed, but your device needs to be up to date. Before connecting make sure all software is current.
Make sure your device is connected to the eduroam or UWNet wireless networks.
Click the Control Center icon in your menubar, or swipe down from the upper right corner of the screen on your iPhone or iPad, then click Screen Sharing
Select your room number from the list of choices.
Finally, enter the 4 digit code that appears on the room television.
To disconnect go back to the Screen Mirroring menu and click your room number again.
Troubleshooting
If no devices appear in the Screen Mirroring list make sure your device has Bluetooth turned on. Bluetooth is used to discover the wireless display devices.
If audio is not coming out of the display speakers make sure the volume is not too low or muted.
If audio is coming from your computer change the output by selecting Sound in Control Center, then select the display you are connected to.
Make sure your device is connected to the eduroam or UWNet wireless networks.
Hold the Windows key and hit K, the Connect panel will slide out form the right of you screen. Click your room number and click Connect.
Type the four digit code that appears at the top of the room television and click Connect.
To Disconnect click Disconnect at the top center of your screen.
