IT Support

Information on contacting Sterling Anderson, IT support for the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

If I am not in my office I may still be on campus somewhere. Email me or send a message via Teams.

Please consider scheduling an appointment in advance to guarantee my in person  availability. My Office 365 calendar is up to date.

You can contact me using all the usual methods:

Teams: https://go.wisc.edu/sjmc-sterlingonteams
Email: sterling.anderson@wisc.edu
Office: 5134 Vilas Hall
Phone: 608-263-3065

I try to be available at all hours during the business day, but that is not always possible. I can be found working in a hidden network closet or server room, having meetings (often in other buildings), taking phone calls, or helping other faculty and staff. This means I will not always be in my office or answer your calls. Please leave a message via any of the three methods above and I will get back to you as soon as possible. It is unavoidable that I will sometimes not be there when you need me, whether I am on campus or remote, and I apologize for any inconvenience.

When you have an event, a speaker, or any other reason to need me in Vilas Hall, please reach out prior. I am happy to adjust if possible.

The department KB also has useful information that can solve many problems. Use the search box at the top of this page to find your answer.
