ICEP Learning Portal - Update Your State License Number in Your ICEP Learning Portal Profile

This article describes how to enter or update your state license ID number if you have received notification that your ID number is incorrect or that your CME credit was rejected by the ACCME on behalf of your state.

UW-Madison ICEP automatically reports CME credits to the ACCME CME Passport. If you have a missing or incorrect license number in your profile, you will receive an email indicating the credit was rejected. To ensure seamless reporting, you can update your profile using these steps.

  1. Log in at https://ce.icep.wisc.edu.
  2. Select My Account near the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. Select Edit > Profile.
The ICEP Learning Portal showing a user's My Account page and the user having selected Edit and then Profile.
  4. Scroll down to State License and Specialty Boards.
  5. Select your state and enter your State license ID. (Wisconsin licensed physicians must enter their ID in this format: XXXXX-XX.)
  6. (Optional) Select Add another to add additional state licenses or ABMS specialty board.
  7. Scroll down and click [Save].

Some boards also match on your date of birth. If you are still getting credit rejections after confirming your board or license number, check your date of birth in your ICEP Learning Portal profile

Note: If you do not wish to have your completions reported to CME Passport or your ABMS board, please leave State License and Specialty Boards section blank. Once updated, your credit will automatically be submitted for future activities. We will also attempt to submit credit for past activities completed within the last 45 days though acceptance by CME Passport for prior completions cannot be guaranteed.
