ICEP Learning Portal - How to Search for Courses With Specific Criteria

Using the Catalog

Select Catalog from the navigation bar of the ICEP Learning Portal.

In the ICEP Learning Portal Catalog, you can search on live event start date and end date, credit type, course format, specialty, and intended audience. You can search on more than one of these characteristics as well. 

Live event start date between

1. Select either the Start date or End date field. You can either enter the date in the format of 09/16/2026 or use the date selector.
   
2. Select [Apply] to see live events within the dates defined. 

Credit type

1. Select the Credit type dropdown. You can either:
   1. Scroll through the dropdown and select the credit type you want, or
   2. Start typing the credit type you are looking for to reduce the number of credit types displayed in the dropdown and select the credit type you want.
      
2. Select [Apply] to see courses that include that credit type.

Course format

1. Select the Course format dropdown and select the course format you are looking for.
   
2. Select [Apply] to see available courses of that format.

Specialty

1. Select the Specialty dropdown. You can either:
   1. Scroll through the dropdown and select the specialty you want, or
   2. Start typing the specialty you are looking for to reduce the number of specialties displayed in the dropdown and select the specialty you want.
2. Select [Apply] to see courses applicable to the specialty selected.

Intended audience

1. Select the Specialty dropdown. You can either:
   1. Scroll through the dropdown and select the specialty you want, or
   2. Start typing the specialty you are looking for to reduce the number of specialties displayed in the dropdown and select the specialty you want.
2. Select [Apply].

Using search

1. On the ICEP homepage https://ce.icep.wisc.edu/ select the magnifying glass in the upper right corner.
   

2. On the left under Search, refine your search.

   1. Categories include Format, Sell Price, Session Date, Registration Status, and Credit Types.

   2. Check boxes that apply to your interests. You can check multiple boxes and multiple categories.
      

   3. When you’ve made your selections, select [Search].

3. From the list that populates, select a title of a course of interest. That will direct you to the course’s home page where you will find additional details.

4. Alternatively, if you have a specific topic of interest, type the topic into the search bar and continue as shown in #3 above.
