Clinical sites will sometimes require students do not appear on certain exclusion lists in order to participate in rotations at their site. These exclusion lists include, but are not limited to, the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), System for Award Management (SAM), and/or sex offender registries. Some of these exclusion lists are included in mandatory background checks, while others must be checked manually by SMPH.
