Expiration date The date the IRB approval expires and re-approval is required. This date in combination with the “Approved” action updates the consent form expiration date in the Subject Console > Consent Tab and the PC Console > Institution > Consent Forms Tab. (See “Action” above).
In case the protocol has been exempted from continuing review, the expiration date is set to be the date 5 years from when the IRB acknowledged that no further review is required. Add this comment to the 'Summary' and 'Details' sections: "This protocol has been exempted from continuing review. The expiration date has been set to the date 5 years from when the IRB acknowledged that no further review is required."
