Basic information about the study is sent across to Health Link: The IRB number, Title, Short Title, Principal Investigator, and Study Coordinators.
In the case of stigmatizing studies, participation in the study could affect insurance and employment. Therefore, Health Link cannot contain any information about the nature of the study.
To prevent accidental disclosure of this information, such studies are de-identified prior to creation in Health Link so that the Title and Short Title do not disclose any information about the subject population. |
