Platform X Windows Analysis Server Storage

Describes how to use the persistent disk attached to managed instance group vms

Platform X's Windows analysis servers are destroyed and recreated every night to ensure the latest security patches are applied. The installation of software and storage of intermediate files on the C:\ drive isn't recommended because changes don't persist between destruction and recreation of virtual machines. All user installed software, scripts, and intermediate files should be stored on the D:\ drive. The D:\ drive is a persistent disk that keeps data safe between virtual machine recreation cycles.
