Primary Completion Date Indicate the (possibly projected) date the last participant was examined or received an intervention to collect final data for the primary outcome measure. The Primary Completion Date for multi-site UW Investigator Initiated Trials is defined for the for the entire study and not the local site.

Required for all protocols.

System will not allow record to be saved without a value. Protocols for which UW is NOT the responsible party for the ClinicalTrials.gov record may use "1/1/2099".

When a study is first created, the "Anticipated" option should be checked. The "estimated" primary completion date is the date that the researchers think will be the primary completion date for the study.

The Primary Completion Date should be updated to the date on which the last participant in a clinical study was examined or received an intervention to collect final data for the primary outcome measure. Whether the clinical study ended according to the protocol or was terminated does not affect this date. For clinical studies with more than one primary outcome measure with different completion dates, this term refers to the date on which data collection is completed for all the primary outcome measures.
