SMPH - Add Basic Sciences Lab Printer to a user's Mac computer
Step by step instructions on adding a basic sciences lab printer to a users Mac computer.
IMPORTANT: The CCI (Campus Computing Infrastructure) Script must be run first, before adding a lab printer.The CCI script (drive mapping script) can be found, on your lab's drive (P: drive), in the folder labeled "shared storage drive map scripts"If you are working remotely (before running the script) you will need to be connected to the Campus VPN via GlobalProtect software.- From the Apple Menu, select System Preferences..., then choose Printers & Scanners.- Click the lock symbol and unlock (admin credentials) to make changes.- Click the plus + symbol, then from the Add window, right click (control + click) within the blank area of the toolbar, choose Customize Toolbar… (click here for example screen shot)- Left click on Advanced, drag the gear symbol into the toolbar, then click Done.
