Priority Items during our Catch Up and Go Phase for 7A Payroll
This list outlines SMPH HR's priority transactions during our Catch Up and Go Phase for 7A payroll.
High Priority Items (make sure everyone gets paid for the 7A):
- New Hires starting in the 7A payroll (June 29-July 12, 2025)*
- Need to ensure new hires receive a paycheck
- Time/Labor
- Making sure non-exempt employees complete their timesheet to receive a paycheck on 7A
- I-9 Compliance
- Making sure we comply with the law
- Terminations (Resignation or Retirement) with an effective date of June 29-July 12, 2025
- Ensure no overpayment
- Leave of absence if payroll would be impacted
Second Tier (making sure compensation is correct):
- Transfers starting in the 7A payroll (June 29-July 12, 2025)*
- FTE changes*
- VA leave of absence*
- Compensation adjustments*
- New unpaid appointments starting 7A that need to have UWHC Credentials
- 7A Add’l pays (lump sums)*
Third Tier (doesn’t touch pay):
- Posting Jobs in Workday*
- New unpaid appointments starting 7A that need to have UWHC Credentials
- Supervisor changes
- CBC (inputting into Workday)
- Governance relationships
- Changes to the expected job end date
- Leave of absence if payroll is not impacted*
- Visiting Professor- for those provisional visiting appointments moving to permanent appointments*
Will wait until after 7A:
- New Hires starting July 13, 2025 or later*
- Terminations (Resignation or Retirement) with an effective date of July 13, 2025 or later
- Leave of absence July 13, 2025 or later*
- New unpaid appointments
- Any other transactions with an effective date of July 13, 2025 or later
*Business Process that involve Fiscal to complete the process
