SoHE Graduate Student Climate Survey: NOW OPEN!
All current graduate students enrolled in Spring 2022 will receive a link to the qualtrics survey starting on Friday, February 4th, 2022. The survey will close on Friday, February 25th, 2022. February is Black History Month: Events at UW-Madison
The theme at UW–Madison — “Melanin in Media: The People, The Culture, The Blackprint” — advocates for inclusion of Black culture within the mainstream media. Kicking off a wide variety of events is the Mass Media Mixer on Friday. See the full schedule. Call for Proposals: The 2022 EPS Conference
The Educational Policy Studies (EPS) Conference Committee is pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for the 2022 EPS Conference. The theme of this year's conference is: The Future(s) of Education. The conference is on Friday, March 25, 2022, and will be hybrid (with options to participate in person and virtually).

Morgridge Entrepreneurial Bootcamp: Free Program for UW Grad Students
Deadline: Thursday, March 10th, 2022
You are invited to apply to join the Morgridge Entrepreneurial Bootcamp (MEB) program which runs from June 6-10, 2022. This FREE program offers UW graduate students and postdocs in the STEM and other fields an introduction to the tools, skills, and concepts in technology entrepreneurship. The program draws on experts across the UW campus and community and includes world-renowned entrepreneurs.
Graduate students enrolled at colleges or universities in the North Central region can submit proposals for up to $15,000 to fund sustainable agriculture projects that will be part of their educational programs. In 2022, $300,000 will be available to fund about 20 grant projects. Individual grants are for $15,000 total and can fund projects lasting up to 36 months. We received 57 applications in 2021 and funded 24 projects averaging $14,500, with durations ranging from 12 to 36 months. https://northcentral.sare.org/Grants/Apply-for-a-Grant/Graduate-Student-Grant/

Three Minute Thesis® Competition: Finals
February 18th 10:00am–12:00pm
H.F. DeLuca Forum, Discovery Building
Three Minute Thesis® is an international competition in which graduate students explain their thesis research to a general audience in only 3 minutes. The top 11 contestants from the semi-finals will compete for cash prizes and the chance to represent UW–Madison at the regional competition. Three Minute Thesis® is presented by the Madison Chapter of GWIS and the Graduate School Office of Professional Development. Registration is not required but is appreciated.

Beginning February 2022, IRB for Beginners is re-launching and will combine important information for both biomedical and social behavioral/educational researchers. This is a great presentation for new researchers, student researchers, and those who have not submitted to the IRB since the IRB Efficiency Project (IEP) changes have been in place.
