1) I had my voicemail sent to my email in the old system, will that transfer? https://kb.wisc.edu/helpdesk/page.php?id=72643 Quick and dirty instructions: go to http://go.wisc.edu/rc4zss which is the web version of your voicemail. You may have to log in with your netid and password. This will only work for personal (office) phones, shared student lines won’t have a netid associated with them. From here you can listen to and delete your voicemail messages. Once you have logged in, go to Settings at the top (next to messages. On the new screen Select Notification Devices->View notification devices. Click on the HTML link. On the new page, click on Notification enabled box and the Allow voicemail as attachments box, then enter your email address and hit the save button at the top. You will receive email notifications of all new voicemail that comes in. One or two are used for the incoming phone lines and the others can be programmed for one button dialing. You can only have 2-3 of these. To set them up go to the Self Care Portal http://go.wisc.edu/6fz24i and log in if necessary. Click on the picture of your phone and select settings. Under phone settings click add new speed dial. Then enter the phone number, the name you want displayed on your phone, and a number between 1 and 3. Once you hit save, the number should appear on your phone, and you can speed dial by hitting the button next to the name you entered. 6) What do the buttons on my phone do? I’m not sure that these are worth the bother, but if you want to see what they do, go ahead. Go to the self care portal, select General settings and set up a new phone pin. This is different than your voicemail pin, but you can set them the same to avoid confusion. Then if you access the address book / personal Fast dial option on your phone, you need to enter your netid (using the keypad, hit 2 once for a twice for b etc) and then enter in your new pin as the pin.
