What application do I choose?

Surgery Remote has many apps depending on what task you need to get done. Its recommended that you choose an application suited for your work. For example, if you plan to edit an Excel file, you would launch Microsoft Excel 2016 and use File → Open to get to your document. As stated above, the app will function like its running on a Surgery computer which means you will be able to see the Surgery network drives you have access to (e.g. L:\, U:\, F:\, etc.).

If you need to get to a web page on the Surgery network, launch the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox applications. It will allow you to navigate to pages that are exclusive to networks in the CSC, like the Surgery intranet.
