How to use a daily permit at a UW campus parking garage
Daily permits allow short-term parking at a specific lot or garage. They are available to purchase from Transportation Services at least two weeks in advance of the date needed.
Campus parking garages are equipped with electronic gate systems. Your daily permit will allow you to access the specific garage noted on the hangtag. For parking garage locations, go to the campus map.
Parking tips:
- If the “lot full” sign is on, this does not apply to daily permit users. You may proceed to park.
- For any assistance needed at the gate, press the “HELP” button on the entry or exit kiosk to connect with a dispatcher.
- When entering the garage, stop at the kiosk and scan the barcode on the back of your hangtag to activate the gate. The barcode scanner is located below and to the left of the touchscreen area.
- When parked, display the permit from the rearview mirror with the lot number facing out.
- When exiting the garage, stop at the kiosk and use the barcode scanner to scan the barcode on the back of your hangtag to activate the gate.
