Network Drive Ownership

Folder Ownership

DST 1 defines the owner of an individual folder as any faculty or staff member with permission to modify the folder. DST 1 staff are able to determine if an individual is an owner of a particular folder.

Students are never considered folder owners.

Drive Ownership

In addition to the ownership rules above, DST 1 considers the current unit chair or director and the current unit administrator to be overall network drive owners. These individuals are considered owners of any shared folder whether or not they would be an owner as defined above.
