Browsers - Disabling Ad Blocking for a Site

How to disable the standard ad blocker for a specific site.

Some sites may not work properly in your browser with an ad blocker enabled. Follow the steps below for your browser to disable uBlock Origin (uBO), the standard ad blocker used on Technical Support computers.

Chrome

  1. Click on the uBO button uBlock Origin toolbar button in Chrome showing 1 blocked ad to the right of the URL bar near the upper-right corner of the window. Note that the number on the button changes depending on how many ads it has blocked on the page.
  2. Drag the slider to the left to change the filtering mode to no filtering.

This setting will persist for the current website until you change it again. To block ads on the current website again, drag the slider back to optimal.

Edge

  1. Click on the uBO button uBlock Origin toolbar button in Edge showing 2 blocked ads to the right of the URL bar near the upper-right corner of the window. Note that the number on the button changes depending on how many ads it has blocked on the page.
  2. Drag the slider to the left to change the filtering mode to no filtering.

This setting will persist for the current website until you change it again. To block ads on the current website again, drag the slider back to optimal.

Firefox

  1. Click on the uBO button uBlock Origin toolbar button in Firefox showing 4 blocked ads to the right of the URL bar near the upper-right corner of the window. Note that the number on the button changes depending on how many ads it has blocked on the page.
  2. Click the blue power button and refresh the page.

This setting will persist for the current website until you change it again. To block ads on the current website again, click the power button and refresh the page.
