Windows - Using Administrative Credentials

When running an installer or changing a Windows setting that requires administrative rights, follow these steps.

1. Use Make Me Admin (Windows) to temporarily become and administrator.
2. Start the installer or change the setting that requires administrative rights.
3. When prompted to enter an admin password:
   • If no username is listed, enter your NetID and password and click Yes.
   • If your username is listed, enter the password you use to log in to your computer and click Yes.
   • If a username is listed but it is not yours, click More choices, scroll down to select your user from the list, enter the password you use to log in to your computer, and click Yes.
