Salesforce - Setting up Duo MFA
How to set up Duo with your Salesforce account
Salesforce requires multifactor authentication for all users. To set up Duo or similar authentication apps like Google Authenticator:
- Go to https://uw-biotech-center.my.salesforce.com/ and click the Log in with UW NetID Login button if you are a UW-Madison employee, otherwise enter your username in the prompt:
- After logging in, you will be prompted to pick a multifactor authentication method, pick 'Choose Another Verification Method' below to skip creating a Passkey:
- At the next screen, select the One-Time Password App option:
- Scan the QR code with your phone. It will open your authentication app, such as Duo or Google Authenticator:
- If you are using Duo, you will be prompted to add a new account - click Save to create that:
- Going back to your browser, enter the time-based code from the App to complete the setup and log in:
- When logging in, open the Duo App and type the code from the account into your browser.
