The alerts@uwsys.net email account is used by third parties to email automated alert notifications to the UW System Network operators.

Office 365 filtering rules can be used to forward interesting messages to interested parties.

The alerts@uwsys.net email account is setup as an o365 service account that has its own login/password. 

As of 2015/06/13,
* it is delegated solely to netid mdhare.
* up to date rules are best viewed in OWA client
* There is no way to automatically delete messages as they are redirected by alerts@uwsys.net to their various destinations, so once a (week, month?) Michael logs into alerts@uwsys.net OWA literally to empty the trash.
