Certificates - Program Review

Information on required academic program review for certificate programs.

All certificate programs are reviewed five years after implementation and every ten years thereafter, with the exception of certificate programs offered through the College of Letters and Science, which are reviewed every five years.

The University Academic Planning Council (UAPC) is the governance body with responsibility for program review policy. Program review oversight is coordinated by the office of Academic Planning and Institutional Research (APIR) on behalf of the Provost.

The Office of the Provost maintains a program review schedule in partnership with school/college deans. The review is initiated and overseen by the school/college dean’s office. The program faculty have an obligation to participate in the review.

For more information, refer to the Academic Program Review website, which includes the summary program review schedule and report. Also refer to the Full Guidelines for For-Certificates for details on certificate program review.
