The YWCA Madison is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1909 as a member of the national YWCA, an autonomous women’s movement. YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. 

The YWCA provides housing for single women and single mothers with one child age 5 or less (restrictions apply to full-time students, call with questions). Emergency shelter for homeless families. Tenant education programming, unlearning racism workshops, employment counseling, and job training programs. Volunteer opportunities available.
