Qualys Cloud Agent-Uninstall Cloud Agent from the Console

This document describes the process to uninstall the Cloud Agent from the Qualys Cloud Console.

  1. From the Module Picker choose "Cloud Agent"
    Step1

  2. Search for the endpoint that you would like to uninstall/remove in the search bar by using:
    1. IP address
    2. hostname
    3. Qualys tags

    Step2

  3. Click on the down arrow to open the "Quick Actions" menu and choose "Uninstall Agent"

  4. Confirm you would like to uninstall the agent.

FAQ

  • There is no option to uninstal in the drop-down for me.
    Please contact cybersecurity@cio.wisc.edu so that we can get this permission issue resolved.

  • I need to uninstalll a large number of hosts from Qualys console. Are there other options to bulk remove endpoints from the console?
    Please email cybersecurity@cio.wisc.edu and we can work with you on bulk removing hosts from the console.

  • Do I need to uninstall the agent from the endpoint as well?
    You will not need to uninstall the agent from the endpoint. The uninstall option will remove the endpoint from the console and the next time the agent checks into the console it will uninstall itself from the endpoint.
