Mapping a drive from home (Windows 10)

How to map a Waisman drive from a remote computer using Windows 10
1. Right click the start button and select File Explorer (circled in red) from the menu

2. In the left pane, right click on "This PC" and Select "Map network drive... from the menu":

3.Select a drive letter from the drop down list and enter the network folder location in the Folder: box. In this example we have selected drive letter X: and a network folder location for the "Fragilex drive" of \\wcs-cifs.waisman.wisc.edu\wc\Fragilex2. Note these are backwards slashes. Be sure that "Connect using different credentials" is checked. as shown and click Finish:

4. Enter your waisman credentials as requested. If you don't see Domain:WAISMAN as shown then you must prefix your username with waisman\ such as waisman\smith.Click OK:

The drive letter you specified should then be mapped to the network folder location you entered and opened in file explorer.
