Data Documentation for PET Imaging Freeze (PiB)

This record contains the README and data dictionary for the WRAP and ADRC PET Imaging Freeze - PiB.

Freeze:

This documentation pertains to the Freeze 2025_May of the longitudinal PET data (11CPIB) for the ADRC & WRAP cohorts, as collected by the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.

Counts:

This imaging dataset includes 1473 PiB scans on 762 participants (219 ADRC; 543 WRAP).

There are 1427 PiB SUVR results on 739 participants (207 ADRC; 532 WRAP; 351 with one scan, 227 with two scans, 59 with three scans, and 102 with four+ scans; 498 female; 71 URG; 61 MCI and 17 Dementia at first visit; 75 MCI and 21 Dementia at last visit; < 5 participant(s) are aged 90+, of those not: mean first and last ages of 65.5 and 68.3, respectively; mean first and last days since baseline of 3260 and 4323, respectively).

There are 1441 PiB DVR results on 749 participants (218 ADRC; 531 WRAP; 362 with one scan; 226 with two scans, 58 with three scans, and 103 with four+ scans; 504 female; 68 URG; 64 MCI and 17 Dementia at first visit; 77 MCI and 22 Dementia at last visit; < 5 participant(s) are aged 90+, of those not: mean first and last ages of 65.5 and 68.4, respectively; mean first and last days since baseline of 3272 and 4324, respectively).

There are 4173 PiB visual rating results on 762 participants (219 ADRC; 543 WRAP; 363 with one scan, 236 with two scans, 58 with three scans, and 105 with four+ scans; 512 female; 72 URG; 68 MCI and 18 Dementia at first visit; 81 MCI and 23 Dementia at last visit; < 5 participant(s) are aged 90+, of those not: mean first and last ages of 66.0 and 68.9, respectively; mean first and last days since baseline of 3263 and 4320, respectively).

Per data sharing agreements with the Oneida nation, data from Native American participants are not included in this dataset.

<session label> represents the subject's integer age at the time of the PET scan.

DERIVED VARIABLES:

Within pib_dvr_aal.tsv

  • pib_index: cortical DVR average (ROIs: angular gyrus, anterior cingulate gyrus, posterior cingulate gyrus, frontal medial orbital gyrus, precuneus, supramarginal gyrus, middle temporal gyrus, superior temporal gyrus

Within pib_suvr_aal.tsv

  • centiloid: ratio of mean signal in cerebellum VOI (reference region) and cortical VOI (signal volume), transformed to 0-100 scale (0 is the average of a younger cohort with healthy brains. 100 is the average of an AD cohort).

Within pib_visual_ratings.tsv

  • rating: PiB visual rating (a rating of 3 is clearly Positive; 0, 1, or 2 is Negative)
