GlobalProtect- Adding the Campus "WiscVPN" Portal

This document provides instructions for adding the UW campus portal to the GlobalProtect VPN client for macOS and Windows devices.

Click the GlobalProtect icon in the macOS menu bar (it looks like a globe).
In the GlobalProtect window that appears, click the icon with three horizontal lines (aka, the hamburger button) in the upper-right corner and select the Settings menu.
Under the Connections tab, click on the “+” icon to add another portal
Enter uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu as the portal address and click the Add button and then close the window.
Select uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu from the Portal drop-down menu.
Click the Connect button to connect the VPN.

NOTE: The uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu portal will require the use of your NetID credentials and Duo authentication. Please refer to the Knowledgebase article in the Related Documents section below for details.

In the GlobalProtect window that appears, click the icon with three horizontal lines (aka, the hamburger button) in the upper-right corner and select the Settings sub-menu.
Under the Connections tab, click on the “+” icon to add another portal
Enter uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu as the portal address and click the Add button and then close the window.
Select uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu from the Portal drop-down menu.
Click the Connect button to connect the VPN.
