The Ricoh printer was installed on a Windows domain computer or a Windows laptop with a Universal Print driver.
The printer will require a printing code to associate with all print jobs. This can be acquired either from a sign near the printer, your project manager, or from the Copy Shop (printing@wcer.wisc.edu).
If your project has not printed to the Ricoh printer before, please contact the Copy Shop (printing@wcer.wisc.edu) to get your project's printing code configured on the printer.
Open the computer's Settings panel (a gear icon on the Windows 10 Start menu)
Select the Devices option.
Under the Devices section select the Printers & Scanners option.
Click on the printer you'd like to configure and click the Manage button appearing under it.
Click on the Printing Preferences option under the "Manage your device" window. A new window will appear for the printer configuration.
This window will open with the Basic tab selected. If it is not selected, select it. Make sure the Color Mode: setting is set to "Black and White", then click on the User Code Setting. . . button. This will bring up a window to enter your printing code.
Type in your four-digit printing code and click OK.
To save your configuration, click on the Register Current Settings. . . button.
Enter a name (like "Default B&W") into the One Click Preset Name: field. You may also add any comments into the Comment field. Click OK.
Click on the One Set Presets tab and confirm that your new profile is listed and highlighted as in the above picture. Click on the Apply button and then the OK button to save the settings.
